Governance

The Innovation and Transitions Foundation’s governance consists of two bodies:
  • The Governing Board (decision-making body);
  • The Bureau
The Audit and Finance Committee has also been set up.

All mandates within these bodies are carried out free of charge.

Bureau

President
Karine Dognin-Sauze, who is involved in the fields of innovation, digital technology, and corporate governance, has held key positions in international groups (Electronic Arts, GL Events), founded two companies (Everblix, Witty Cies), and headed the French Institute of Directors for the past four years. Her career, at the crossroads between the private and public sectors, enriched by numerous commitments including the presidencies of Interconnectés, Big Booster, and French Tech St Etienne-Lyon, is guided by a vision of innovation focused on economic, sustainable, societal, and territorial issues.

Vice-President
Cécile Mazaud, president of the Mazaud Group, which specializes in construction, has been heavily involved in developing the family business while integrating cutting-edge and sustainable practices. Convinced that innovation is the key driver of positive change, she devotes her energy and vision to sustainable development and societal transitions.


Treasurer
Pascal Charrière is Director of Local Economy at Caisse d'Épargne Rhône Alpes. In this role, he is responsible for developing banking activities with local economic players. Having also held positions of responsibility in the social housing sector, his career reflects a strong commitment to sustainable development and the social and solidarity economy.


Permanent guest
Nathalie Dompnier is president of the University of Lyon, coordinating higher education and research institutions in the Lyon Saint-Étienne area. A professor of social sciences and political science, she wrote her thesis on the social history of voting and conducts research on electoral practices and political values. She taught in Grenoble and Avignon before joining Lumière Lyon 2 University, where she served as president from 2016 to 2024.

Governing Board

The Governing Board is the supreme decision-making body of the Innovation and Transitions. It meets twice a year and is renewed by half every two years.

Audit and Finance Committee

The Audit and Finance Committee has an advisory role for the Governing Board covering all matters of financial management of the Foundation for the Université de Lyon. It is chaired by Jean-Pierre Lac and meets at least twice a year, particularly to examine the estimated budget for the coming year and the budget implementation for the previous year.
